Weekend at the beach~slowin our roll~tentin it~fires~bar-b-queing~meandering drives~yard sales~sand between our toes~water falling from the sky(just a little)~fishing~bike rides ~ Yatzee~ smores~view points~Splash ball~cows~rivers~shadow puppets~kids reading by flashlight~whistling kettle wake up calls~dinner with friends~no schedule~wind~ holding hands~ meeting new people. Hope you all had a great weekend too!!!

Chillin~

Loving the heat we've been having. Truly, I'm a heat & sun lover. Being born and raised in Southern California makes me this way BUT it's still too hot to cook in the house. Being a heat and sun lover doesn't make me nutso, so we're grillin this weekend and keeping the house chillin. Hopin you're all having a great weekend!!

Remember when I thought we'd have house guests? Well we are officially occupied. We put up camoflauged fabric over the door window so she doesn't get spooked every time there's movement in the house. We're treading lightly, talking softly and closing doors gently so we don't spook her very much. She's easily spooked. This is how I was able to take these photos. She flew off and I took a peek in to get confirmation of what we thought had happened. Aren't they just the sweetest? How fun we're going to have when we hear the little cheep, cheep, cheeps.

Saturday~

Last weekend we split wood from 9:30 am - 6:45 pm. Oh sure we stopped for lunch and had to take one load home in between splitting but by the end of the day, man oh man. Today we stacked ONE pile against our front hedge. Two rows about 6 feet high by 15 feet. I told my man that today seemed harder than all of last Saturday and we were only out there a couple of hours.

One pile stacked and four more to go. Yikes.

Thursday we noticed two little birdies checking out the wreath that hangs right outside our door. They started with one bit of rafia then a little bit of grass and last two photos show a lot of grass. Looks like we have house guests this Spring. How fun is this going to be!!!
