Last weekend we split wood from 9:30 am - 6:45 pm. Oh sure we stopped for lunch and had to take one load home in between splitting but by the end of the day, man oh man. Today we stacked ONE pile against our front hedge. Two rows about 6 feet high by 15 feet. I told my man that today seemed harder than all of last Saturday and we were only out there a couple of hours. One pile stacked and four more to go. Yikes.
Thursday we noticed two little birdies checking out the wreath that hangs right outside our door. They started with one bit of rafia then a little bit of grass and last two photos show a lot of grass. Looks like we have house guests this Spring. How fun is this going to be!!! I am NOT looking forward to all the wood splitting and stacking we have ahead of us this spring and summer. There are at least two or three big trees waiting for us out at the farm...
